 Yellow Jacket Exterminating, Pest Control

Using an aerosol type pesticide on yellow jackets maybe harmful to your health. Often mistaken for honey bees, yellow jackets nest in just about the same locations except yellow jackets will also build nest in the ground. Their nest are usually not removed even if in the wall but there are exceptions. Sometimes the nest will be made very close to or include drywall into the nest and this can cause the drywall to bubble up or mold. If you suspect yellow jackets inside your wall and see a bubble in the drywall don't poke at it. If mold appears at the nesting area the drywall should be cut and replaced. Yellow Jacket nest come in all shapes and sizes and because of the location determining an actual price over the phone maybe hard. Most nest are easily accessible with pesticides and some are not in a small percentage of cases retreatment of nest maybe required.

Note: A Yellow Jacket colony has many workers that are in the field gathering things needed for the hive and will return to the hive for the better half of the day). The amount of workers is undetermined and will increase with the size of the hive. When the hive is treated these workers coming back to the nest may linger around the entrance of the nest for a unknown period of time. Some of these workers will force themselves past the treated area only to make things worst for themselves. My treatment works by social and direct contact but it is also slow working so it doesn't excite them and it is carried to the nest.

Bee or WaspExterminating Yellow jackets

As these two stinging insects are the same even in social structure they are different. I will not exterminate honey bees but I will exterminate yellow jackets, know the difference between the two. If you are having trouble in knowing the difference you can send a text message or call for assistance. Honey bee hives are completely removed and yellow jacket nest are not. Their is a big difference in the equipment used in honey bee removal compared to yellow jacket extermination.

Cost and Exterminating Yellow Jackets

  • A single in ground yellow Jacket nest will cost $150.00 and include the first half hour on the job. Additional in ground yellow jacket nest will be an be a additional $25.00. Small nest that are in the ground maybe removed, larger nest will be left in the ground to continue killing workers that return to the nesting site.
  • Yellow jacket nest in soffits or rooflines will start at $ 150.00 and may increase in cost depending on weather the nest can be reached with a pesticide or not. Sometimes it is necessary to remove  a soffit panel to get a solid shot at the nest with a pesticide. With Yellow jacket nest in brick walls and wood soffits a different pesticide maybe used.

There are many different variations in exterminating Yellow Jackets. They will nest in a variety of places like in walls, attics, tree roots, mulch, and many more. Most of time these nest are not removed because of the place they are located and is not billed into price. Sometimes nest that are inside walls and next to drywall will cause bubbles in the paint, mold, or discoloration.  I will cut such nest out of the wall or ceiling if you need, and cost will be determined on the time it takes.
